Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June, 1996 in the Stavanger University Hospital in Stavanger, Norway. Her parents Jan Oystein and May Britt Froastad lived in a small town named Hole for 15 years. Aurora alsos spent her first three years there and started to develop her taste for ancient clothing, nature and singing. After three years, the family moved to a house located in the woodlands of the Os mountains. This is a faraway municipality located near Bergen in Hordaland.
During her school days, her sisters were afraid that other students would harass Aurora for her weird dressing style and her personality.
