Boman Irani was born on December 2, 1959, six months after the death of his father, in Bombay (Modern Mumbai), India. As his name tells, he was born in an Irani Zoroastrian family. He was born with several disorders and diseases; dyslexia, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), and lisp. He, fortunately, overcame lisp.
Boman went to the St. Mary’s School, after which he did a waiter course for 2 years from the Mithibai College in Mumbai. During his school days, he got into acting. Irani then worked as a waiter in Taj Mahal Palace and Tower for two years, after which he was promoted and served at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, Rendezvous. At the age of 32, Boman started to serve at the bakery of his mother, who inherited it from her husband after his death.
