Nascina Florence Foster, also known as Florence Foster Jenkins, was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on the 19th July 1868. She belonged to a wealthy family. Her father was a lawyer and banker. She had been interested in playing Piano since her childhood. Her parents supported her passion for music but soon they realized that she didn’t have any natural singing skills. She wanted to take singing classes when she was young but her parents refused to pay for that. After the death of her father, she got a significant amount of money in inheritance which she started spending on building her singing career.
Florence Foster Jenkins built her singing career from the scratch by using his father’s money. She spent his money to join famous clubs in the city. She was fully prepared to go to any length that was required to establish herself as a singer. She released her recordings and financed them herself under the Melotone Record Label.
His first recording was launched in 1941 that helped her get recognition worldwide. People started loving her singing skills eventually even though her voice quality was not up to the mark. Just a month before her death, she performed in a show at Carnegie Hall. It was a sold-out show that became very famous in most regions of the world.
