Jimmie Walker was born in Brooklyn, New York, the United States of America on the 25th of June, 1947. He was given the name “James Carter Walker Jr.” after his birth but later he got famous with the name “Jimmie Walker”.
His mother did several odd jobs like nursing. But eventually, she became the head of the same department. His father was a Pullman porter. So, he belongs to a middle-class family. He spent his childhood in a black neighborhood.
