Sheck Wes was born in Harlem to Senegalese parents on the 10th of September, 1998. They moved to the United States where his father worked as a tailor. Later, he started assisting famous American designers like Dapper Dan. Sheck Wes had a difficult childhood as his home burned down to ashes in a fire accident. He had to live in a shelter with his family. When they moved to another house, the same incident happened and they ended up living in public housing. His parents had to work hard to run the home.
